School days

Since my last post a few things have changed. I am now a full time cosmetology student at American College of Hair Design in Sedalia, Missouri. So far I have loved every minute of it! The class I was in was 10 students. We were in the classroom for our first eight weeks to learn the basics. We have been on the floor, aka working on actual clients not mannequin heads, for about two weeks now. I did my first hair cut and like the idiot I am i cut myself. I was pretty smooth about it thought. Everyone that was watching didn't even notice i did it. What can I say, I'm good at what I do.
I have made some pretty good friends being at school. Its nice to get outside the military life a little bit. Not that i don't enjoy my military friends but its different being around people who have no affiliation with the military. Kind of more like it was back home.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and we are not hosting it at out house this year. Kind of a sigh of relief. Less stress on my part. We are going to some friends house up the road, The Ragan's. They are great people.
Mitch took me hunting for the first time in Missouri. It was pretty fun. No luck but we still have the archery hunt to try to fill our tags. We have gotten into archery more lately. i really enjoy it and I'm actually not too bad at it. There is an archery range on base here and we have been going once or twice a week. Maybe Ill be able to stick me a deer or a turkey soon.
Its time for me to sign off and get to bed we have a big day ahead of us tomorrow.

Happy Turkey Day everyone!!!!
